The Hispanic Institute for Life and Leadership (H.I.L.L.), the region’s first workforce and professional development nonprofit organization for the Hispanic labor force, will host Juan Carlos Davila, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Hispanic Market – Center of Excellence, Nielsen during its first 2015 bi-annual Las Voces – Guest Speaker Series. The event scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23rd will be held at UNF’s Adam W. Herbert, University Center. The event will mark the first time the giant rating company has visited Jacksonville to focus discussion on Hispanic trends and market strategies. His key note address is titled: “The New Face of Hispanics”. Subtopics to be discussed in the talk are, how Hispanics are changing; their impact in the economy and how to reach them.
During the last twenty-five years, Mr. Davila has helped Fortune 500 and small companies achieve substantial market share, revenue and profit growth both in the US and in Latin America. His passion for intelligent, strategic and fact based multicultural and cross cultural marketing and business development has put him in charge of regions and business units with full P&L responsibility at companies like Procter & Gamble, Quaker Oats, Bristol Myers Squibb/Mead Johnson, Wrigley, and now at Nielsen.
The H.I.L.L. assists Hispanic clients focus on success factors essential for careers in Corporate America through professional development services while rendering programs that are juxtapositioned to help local corporations build cultural competence about Hispanics. Las Voces – Guest Speaker series is a signature event the nonprofit hosts twice a year.
